Natural or ornamental flowering plants and bushes

Take a look at a few more species

Yes, all of these are in one yard! Gardening can be a great hobby. It is like painting. Start with a blank landscape and slowly build and play.

You can easily transform a yard, save on cutting grass, add a bit of paradise to your own home, then sit back and see how many of natures amazing creatures will visit your paradise!

flowering trees- Verbena

woodsy ground cover- Sweet Woodruff
Galium odoratum

flowering bushes- Viburnum opulus - "Snowball"

yes, the rabbits will think they have a smorgasborg, but if there is enough, you will hardly notice it

add a few rocks and ground cover for a nice effect, or even waterfalls

Redbud flowering trees

wild violets with tulips in the spring

Castor bean plant showing large, tropical, palmately-lobed leaf and cluster of spiny red fruits.

Kniphofia uvaria

This is my new favorite, a Giant Hibiscus

Perennial with a woddy stem

Each year it doubles. So first year if you have two stems, the next will be 4- then 8, then 18, so it gets very full with tons of flowers for months

Flowers in your yard can start in February or March and live until almost November if you mix it up with different species

very little if any weeding also, since some come in very thick

Lilly of the valley is a highly scented ground cover type of plant with dainty little bell flowers

CONVALLARIA majalis

flowering bushes bring around hummingbirds and butterflies

Caryopteris Bunge is a small, woody bush in the verbena family
